From Pharmacy Shelves to Power Looms - The Journey that Built Me

I grew up in Vallabhipur, a small village where life was simple, but values ran deep. My father ran a modest pharmacy store, and I spent my early years watching him run it with quiet dedication. After completing my schooling, I naturally stepped in to help; but running a medical store needed a license. So, I pursued a diploma in pharmacy, a two-year course that took me away from home for the first time. Living alone in a hostel, in a new city, gave me my first taste of independence. It was uncomfortable, but necessary. Looking back, it prepared me for everything that was to come.

A New Path Begins: From Pharmacy to Possibility

When I returned, I worked at our pharmacy for three years. It was honest work, and I respected it, but life was already opening a new chapter without me realizing it. While I was behind the counter, my elder brother Jitubhai had moved to Surat and started building something entirely different, a venture in textiles. He had entered a space filled with risk, unknowns, and infinite possibility. And slowly, it began to grow.

What I saw in his journey was something I hadn’t seen before: scale, speed, and a spark I couldn’t ignore. When he asked me to join him, I didn’t hesitate. I packed my bags and moved to Surat in 1995, not just to support a business, but to chase a future that felt bigger than any plan I had.

Ground Up: Learning by Doing

When I joined him, he had already built a solid foundation. I didn’t walk into luxury or ease, but I walked into a dream already taking shape. I learned everything from scratch, working shoulder to shoulder with him. From morning to midnight, we worked without looking at the clock. No job was too small, no hour too late. Our routine didn’t follow holidays or weekends; it followed ambition. Not long after, our youngest brother Haresh completed his studies and joined us too. And that’s when everything changed.

Not Just a Business, But a Bond

It wasn’t just about building a business anymore, it became about building a life together. We didn’t have fancy degrees or business plans back then. What we had was focus, integrity, and each other. Every small step, whether it was buying a new machine or getting a new order or hiring a new worker; it all felt like a festival. Together, we built Ozone.

In 1996, we built our first bungalow. It was more than a house; it was a symbol of our journey. As the years passed, we kept growing. With every new challenge came new effort. With every new milestone came deeper gratitude. One factory became two, two became more. We kept reinvesting; not just money, but time, energy, and heart. We didn’t believe in shortcuts, only in showing up and putting in the work.

Staying Sincere and Growing Stronger

Today, Ozone stands tall as a name people recognize in Surat, especially in the world of greige fabric. Our daily production is strong, our quality is premium, and our clients trust us with their vision. Recently, we even started working with mono yarn, which allows for high-volume output in shorter timelines. That too has been a success; because once again, we stepped in with sincerity and commitment.

When people look at Ozone today; the scale, the machines, the modern fabric production, the strong client relationships, they may see success. But I see sweat. Sacrifices. Nights without sleep. And above all, I see belief.

A Life of Joyful Work and a Vision for Tomorrow

I live with a simple motto: Hard work is the key to success. I may have started as a simple boy from a village pharmacy store, but with hard work and faith, I helped build something I can proudly call mine.

I work joyfully. That’s the truth of my life; no stress, no regrets, only gratitude. Every day I go to the factory, I still feel the same passion I felt in the early days. And I want to pass that on. My dream now is that the next generation; our children, continue this journey just like we brothers did. With unity, honesty, and hunger to grow. I hope Ozone is not just a name they inherit, but a vision they take forward.
